The Smell of Irises

Perhaps only true fans of bearded irises know how varied their flavors. For many visitors to the exhibition of irises in the Botanical gardens for their delicious smells were a revelation.

The children obviously enjoyed the variety with aromas of sweet honey, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Reddish-brown variety ‘Copatonic’ smelled of chocolate.

Another red-brown variety ‘Stop the Music’ smelled like caramel with Mandarin.

Honey aroma with a little bitterness exuded a sort of ‘HighMaster’.

It seemed that the bitter honey on the lips leaves a sort of ‘Flights of Fancy’.

A real favorite in “iris cocktail” of odors has become ‘CloudBallet’ with a sweet floral caramel aroma.

Wonderful yellow cultivar ‘Limelighter’ with a floral scent, which perfectly complemented the citrus notes of lime.

Connoisseurs of fragrances preferred cultivar ‘MulledWine’ with a luxurious floral aroma.
