Many gardeners use pre-sowing seed treatment with various biostimulants. The chemicals have performed well. However, very close to us are natural growth stimulants that are ideal for seed preparation.
We are talking about potato juice and aloe, infusion of onion husks and ash, as well as honey. Think about how to prepare natural medicines and then use them.
Potato
For soaking seed potatoes, juice is taken, however, before the tubers can be frozen. After that, the potatoes are completely thawed, cut into pieces and squeezed out the juice. You can use a garlic press.
Squeeze the juice out of the frozen potatoes
Frozen potato juice contains a large amount of nutrients, including biologically active ones, which have a good effect on seed germination. Soak the seed material should be 6-8 hours, tomato seeds – up to 12 hours.
Aloe
Before squeezing the juice, aloe needs to stay a little in the cold. To do this, cut the appropriate sheets juicier, wrap them in polyethylene and put them in the refrigerator for 10-14 days. After that, the aloe leaves should be torn with your hands and squeeze out the juice with gauze. It is highly undesirable to cut the sheets with a knife and, in principle, allow contact with metal utensils or other metal objects.
Dilute the aloe juice with water before soaking the seeds
Aloe juice improves seed germination and increases plant immunity. For pre-sowing preparation, the squeezed juice must be diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 1 and put the seeds for 4-6 hours. However, not all seeds are recommended to soak in it. Aloe is not suitable for processing onion, pepper, celery seeds.
Infusion of onion peel and ash
An infusion of onion husks and wood ash is also an excellent stimulant for seed preparation. To prepare it, a handful of husks must be poured with boiling water in a half-liter container and add a teaspoon of wood ash. The solution should be allowed to settle for three days, after which it is ready for use.
Onion-ash infusion is a good stimulant
This infusion enriches the seeds with essential minerals and trace elements. Soak in it for 2-4 hours. In addition, the infusion of ash-onion can be used for fertilizing houseplants and seedlings, diluting it in turn with water.
Honey
Honey solution has long been used as an effective growth stimulant. It is easiest to prepare: one teaspoon of honey should be stirred in a glass of warm water. The solution is poured into a saucer and the seeds are soaked in it for 5-6 hours.
In the honey solution to soak seeds for 5-6 hours
It is important to remember that before soaking the seeds in stimulants, you should let them swell in ordinary water. And it is best to use not the one that flows from the tap, but boiled. You can also scoop up a handful of pure snow and let it melt at room temperature.
Pre-soaking in melt water
In this water, the seeds are soaked for several hours, and then sent to a stimulant solution. Before sowing, the seeds should be dried a little, and then act in accordance with the agricultural machinery of a particular plant.
