Flower Perennials for Shady Flower Garden

Under the trees near the fence or on the northern wall of the house, in shady flower beds with a small amount of light, plants such as tiarella, Waldstein, lilies of the valley, aconogonon alpine, phlox paniculata, anemone kupehensis, astilba thunbergii, astilba arendsia, geranium endresia, geranium macrorhizum and other plants feel good.

Among decorative deciduous perennials for shady places, hosta still knows no equal. It is unpretentious and has a very rich range of colors and shades of leaves: from dark blue-green to light green with yellow.

Aruncus, some types of geranium, astilba, rogersia, sylvestris anemone, periwinkle, various types of ferns and all kinds of herbs grow well in tree trunks on shady flower beds. If any plant does not take root under the trees, then bulbs such as crocus, galanthus should be planted under them in the fall.

In partial shade on flower beds near the western or eastern side of the house, aconite, Japanese anemone, bleeding heart grow well under the trees.

This is not a complete assortment of perennial plants for shady flower beds: aquilegia, anemone, aruncus, astilba, periwinkle, brunner, rainbow, saxifrage, yellow, lily of the valley, hemerocallis, muscari, narcissus, tracheophyte, primroses, aegopodium podagraria, tulip, viola cornuta, hosta, erantis.
