Today, topiary gardening art, forgotten for more than 400 years, is becoming more and more popular. Topiary is defined as the art of cutting the crowns of trees in order to give them decorative forms. With the help of topiary art, you can create an individual style of the garden, which will combine various magnificent natural compositions.

Despite the fact that the peak of popularity of topiary art fell in the seventeenth century, the art of giving geometric shapes to trees has its roots in the Villages of Egypt and Persia. Preference was given to a combination of external form and functionality. In this way, symmetrical geometric gardens, fountains, and neatly trimmed shrubs spread. Recall that the popularity of creating geometric gardens was embodied in the greatest work of the ancient world – the hanging gardens of Babylon. And the style that is now considered exclusively British was born.

In the art of topiary, there are different styles-from classical to avant-garde. The main elements of the topiary are pyramids, balls, cones, arches. Despite their simplicity, they are associated with the nobility of the royal gardens. But mainly in art, topiaries use the contours of a person and an animal to emphasize the connection of a person with nature.

The process of growing a topiary is a very long process. For example, to form a boxwood bush, it is necessary that it reaches the age of 30-40 years. But with older bushes, you may not get the desired result. The artistic idea will be revealed only when the Bush grows.

Despite the sufficient complexity of topiary art, the offices of topiary companies are inundated with orders. Probably, this is due to the fact that everyone strives for an original and unique design of greenery.
