This seedling was given to me by friends, knowing about my passion to grow new, unusual for many plants. When I went on picnics outside the village, I often saw wild krataegus.
To be honest, I didn’t really like them: huge prickly bushes with an asymmetric crown, berries, although useful, but I wouldn’t say that they are delicious. But my friends assured me that this krataegus is completely different, and its fruits are so big and delicious that you still need to look for them!
When it first bloomed, I was looking forward to maturing. I was warned that you should not pick berries from the branches, even large and brightly colored ones, as they may be unripe. You need to wait until they start to fall. If you only knew how many times I shook the branches of his crataegus, hoping to see a fallen berry!
When a few berries fell from the tree, the tasting made a splash! It is difficult to convey this feeling in words, but I will try: a well-balanced combination of sourness and sweetness, the fruit is soft, juicy. And if you knew how much children love it, I have never even managed to put a few berries in the freezer, they were all eaten fresh!
