Starting in March, many garden centers, flower shops sell compact, low-growing, osteospermum plants up to 20 cm (7.9 inches) tall, and then planted in the open ground, they reach a height of 60 to 100 cm (2-3.3 feet) The leaves are gray-green, toothed, and up to 10 cm (3.9 inches) long. Inflorescences-baskets with a diameter of 5-8 cm (2-3.1 incnhes) consist of white and dark blue flowers, bloom from June until the first frost.

Osteospermum is light-loving, drought-resistant, not picky about the soil, but it grows best on loose, fertile soil. When growing in containers and pots, regular watering is required. For long-term flowering, regular fertilizing with complex fertilizers is necessary every 2 weeks.

Propagated by seeds (sowing in room conditions under glass in March-April). This plant can be grown in mixborders, rockeries, containers and pots.
