Everyone chooses varieties and hybrids of cucumbers according to their taste, needs and conditions on the site. There are many gardeners who do not have the opportunity to devote a lot of time to their plants, and the cucumber is a rather demanding crop. Cucumbers of the bunch type are an great choice for busy gardeners. As a rule, they are characterized by unpretentiousness and high yield, since cucumbers grow in a “bouquet” of 3-8 pieces. Let’s get acquainted with the six most interesting varieties.
Beam Charm F1
Early-maturing parthenocarpic (not requiring insect pollination) hybrid. Suitable for growing in a greenhouse and in the open ground. In one node, on average, 7-8 gherkins are formed, growing to a length of 10-12 cm (4-5 inch). It is well resistant to infections, stress-resistant.
Beam Boom F1
A hybrid that perfectly tolerates temporary cold spells without failures in fruiting. In each node, at least 5 cucumbers are formed, the length of which is 9-11 cm (3.5-4.3 inch), the diameter is 3-3.5 cm (3.5-4.5 inch). Ideal for harvesting for the winter, as they stably retain their shape during conservation. Plants of the parthenocarpic type, from germination to the removal of the first crop takes about 40 days.
F1 Aesthete
This parthenocarpic early-maturing hybrid is characterized by an extraordinary yield, and the return occurs amicably. Suitable for growing in the open ground and greenhouse. Cucumbers are aligned, very tasty, their length is 9-12 cm (3.5-4.8 inch). Up to 5 ovaries are formed in each node. The plants are resistant to most cucumber diseases.
Bingo F1
Parthenocarpic hybrid of the bundle type of fruiting. It can be grown in both open and closed ground. Suitable for collecting small fruits (4-6 cm – 1.5-2.5 inch pickles), which are ideal for canning. The crop is easy to transport without loss in quality. The plants are resistant to the main diseases of this crop.
F1 Standard
A new parthenocarpic hybrid of the beam type. It has a characteristic light green color with stripes up to one-third of the length. The yield is high, the plants bear fruit stably until the very cold weather. A distinctive feature — cucumbers are not prone to overgrowth, as the name of the hybrid suggests. Fruits are 8-10 cm (3.2-4 inch) long, weight — 70-90 g (2.5-3.2 oz).
Hokus
Bee-pollinated variety of medium maturity. Bred in Finland, it is ideal for growing in the north-western regions. It is characterized by reliability, stable yield, uniform yield. It is grown both by seedling method and by direct sowing in the ground. Cucumbers are ready to be harvested when their length reaches 5-15 cm (2-6 inch).
