Every spring month, my favorite irises bloom in the garden. First of all, this company blooms in March Irisreticulata.
Since the end of April-May, another close relative – the bulbous Iris xiphium, which has been grown by people for more than 3000 years, “shines” with its extraordinary beauty in the garden.
The delicate flowers of xiphia resemble large tropical butterflies.
But the real king of modernity among the flowers of iris becomes in May. Subtle nuances of color transitions on the petals; it is impossible to single out any one fragrance, everyone admired and loved it! In addition, the large iris flowers themselves with three vertically arranged inner and three downward-pointing outer petals attract genuine attention!
These garden favorites at this time will be mysterious purple, pure blue flowers. Their beauty is fascinating.
Sort Of ‘About Town’
Sort Of ‘Cloud Ballet’
With such outstanding advantages of their flowers, irises act as spring seasonal dominants; they are spectacular in single and group plantings near the house, in mixed flower borders, along the paths.
