These photos show the lilies that grow in our front garden. This is an interesting variety. Their color is very bright and rich, something like the color of red bricks.
I read a magazine once and, you know, I learned some very interesting things. It turns out that both excessive watering and fertilizing with manure contribute to the disease of lily bulbs, their rotting and, accordingly, death. A little watering is also harmful. In general, without too much fanaticism, as with most “noble” colors. How to fertilize a Lily, if not with manure?Either with special decontaminated compost, or just rotten leaves…
It is also important that the soil does not overheat. We have these lilies growing in front of the house, in the shade (most of the day), so they feel comfortable… Well, if it so happens that lilies grow in the sun, then you can do the following. Just take some light material, such as sawdust or dry straw.
But these lilies I would like to have in my flower bed:
We have pink ones, but without the yellow center. It looks interesting, doesn’t it?)
By the way, with top dressing, too, do not overdo it. They don’t like it either.
