It is not always convenient to erect a stationary gazebo on the site. Firstly, it will take a lot of time, and secondly, it will cost a tidy sum. In addition, this building will be operated only in the summer. Wouldn’t it be easier to purchase a ready-made structure that can be assembled and disassembled at any time?
Gazebos made of plastic
The popularity of plastic gazebos is due to the low price and ease of assembly. Nevertheless, when purchasing a product, you should ask what kind of plastic was used for its production.
For example, PVC, despite its cheapness, can hardly be called a suitable material. Constructions made of it do not have a sufficient margin of safety and therefore often bend, or even break. In addition, in hot weather, being in direct sunlight, polyvinyl chloride begins to release toxic substances.
Polypropylene is more practical. Unlike PVC, it is very durable, able to withstand significant loads, resistant to ultraviolet radiation. Most often polypropylene is used for the manufacture of small prefabricated structures, as well as decorative elements and roofs.
Polycarbonate is no less popular. Perhaps it can be considered the most reliable and durable option of all of these. Products made of it have an excellent appearance and excellent consumer properties: a high level of strength and resistance to environmental influences.
The plastic gazebo can be assembled during the day. Theoretically, one person can assemble it, but experts recommend doing it together — it will be faster and easier.
First you need to choose a dry and flat area. Most models are designed to be installed directly on the ground: support pillars are dug to a depth of 30-40 cm. At the same time, if desired, you can build a foundation — a cement screed or a plank base. Then you should assemble the frame from the supporting elements and install it in the selected location.
Now you can start mounting the decorative part. To do this, use steel bolts with nuts or special fasteners, which are usually included in the kit. In high-quality products, there are slots and holes with which the parts are attached to each other, and some of them are equipped with plastic latches. If there is none of this, then you will have to drill the holes yourself. The lightest parts can be fixed with screws.
Gazebos, metal and wooden
Buildings made of metal can serve faithfully for decades. Reliability and durability are their main advantages. The variety of design solutions is also amazing.
Any summer resident can assemble such a gazebo: the frame of the structure consists of pipes of round or square cross-section (sometimes from a profile), which are carefully fitted to each other. To connect them, you will only need a screwdriver and a set of fasteners.
However, the product costs a lot. Gazebos with forged elements are even more expensive.
When choosing, it is better to pay attention to aluminum alloy structures: they do not rust and are noticeably lighter than steel ones. In addition to metal, plastic parts can also be included in the kit. It’s good if it’s the same polycarbonate.
The price of models made of wood is somewhat lower, but they do not have so many advantages, mainly environmental friendliness and aesthetics. Unfortunately, wood rots quickly, so it is difficult to call such a product durable and durable. In order for it to last a long time, it needs to be treated annually with special formulations.
It is more difficult to mount such buildings, since they often require a prepared foundation.
Garden awnings-tents
Of course, this modification of the shelter from rain and heat also deserves close attention. It consists of a lightweight frame, which is covered from all sides (including from above) with a waterproof cloth or polyethylene. Sometimes the kit includes plastic walls, which, if necessary, can be easily installed, and then just as easily removed.
When buying, it is better to look closely at products whose frame is made of aluminum or fiberglass. It is worse if it is made of steel or wood.
Four- and hexagonal models are most common, but it is preferable to choose those that have a rounded configuration: they better withstand wind loads.
The installation of a tent-tent is nothing complicated. First, with the help of plastic connectors, the tubes of the frame are joined. The structure is installed on a flat platform, after which a fabric or film water-repellent material is fixed on top and on the sides.
