Acanthus mollis is an impressive perennial up to 1.5 m (4.9 ft) tall. It is famous for its beautiful large dark green leaves. Today, no park is complete without this beautiful plant.
The stylized leaf of this plant is the basis of the Corinthian ornament of the upper parts of the columns.
