Let’s you and I will consider ways to create a good garden paths that will last more than a dozen years, and will look much more beautiful than the old cozy, but such unsightly paths.
Concrete track with their hands
Many summer residents, without further ADO, build monolithic concrete paths. However, and concrete paths can be ennobled: beautifully decorate them at the time of construction of colored mosaics, pieces of ceramic tiles or ceramics. - Noting the width and the length of the path, its bed deepened by 8-10 cm.
- Then sprinkle it with sand to a height of 5-6 cm, well compacted sand and shed water.
- After the entire length of the bed track mounted frame, knocked out of wood or plywood, leaving a distance between them in 5-7 cm width of the frame should correspond to the width of the track. The most optimal and convenient size of the wooden frame for concreting: 60×60 cm.
- Then pour a concrete frame solution, and when it is slightly dry, nicely spread on top of the decorative elements (even the normal shell).
- After complete drying of the track (2-3 days), the ground between the plates is planted with unpretentious plants for the lawn.
Garden path made of boards with their hands
The best material to create a wooden track will not rotting larch wood.
- Track made of wood is usually lifted above the ground, strengthening them on solid bars, treated against decay.
- And bars, in turn, establish on a gravel layer (5-6 cm).
- Gravel is carefully pre-aligned box around the garden paths.

Garden paths made of wooden chocks with their own hands
You can also build a garden path of wooden chocks or cross-sections of thick trees, pre-treated with antiseptic to protect against decay.
For this:
- According to the pre-planned bed of the track, a trench with a depth of 5-6 cm is dug more than the height of the chocks.
- The bed is covered with gravel (2-3 cm), then sand (2-3 cm), carefully compacted, abundantly watered and as tightly as possible set in a bed of chocks.
- After that, the gaps filled gravel mixed with sand and again abundantly watered.

Garden paths on the basis of figured forms
Here is this nice garden path with their hands built with durable finished forms of polystyrene, which are available everywhere in the free market.
The forms themselves for the garden path may look like this:
1. To begin, determine the location and width of the garden paths, using pegs and rope. Here I want to note: such forms as puzzles, easily adjacent to each other, and the size is usually 60×60 cm, which is enough for a narrow garden path.
2. Now arm yourself with a shovel and dig a trench with a depth of 8-10 cm along the planned bed. To do this, it is better to use an electric vibrator; you can tamp the ground manually, but it will require a lot of effort. In a well-compacted trench, fill a layer of crushed stone or pebbles (3-4 cm), and on top pour river sand (5-6 cm). Before you lay the mold, sand abundantly pour water from a hose with a spray. Then grease the form with engine oil (for lack of a, you can use ordinary vegetable) and put them on the wet sand.
3. Prepare the solution: cement – 1 part, sand-3 parts and crushed stone-4 parts. Add a special binding mixture for the Foundation and adding water, start mixing the solution, bringing it to the consistency of thick sour cream. And to your garden path with his hands shone with colored inks, add the desired color dye solution.
4. Then trowel fill the form to the brim, avoiding air bubbles, and then remove the excess solution pre-prepared plastic rail (for these purposes can be made and iron).
The solution will “grab” in 30-40 minutes, the forms can be carefully removed, shift them further along the path of the future track and repeat the procedure. Removed form with half-baked cement quite easily.
5. While the solution is not completely dry, you can decorate the track pieces of colored tiles, granite, beautiful stones or other material. It is only necessary to press a little jewelry in cement, and they after complete drying of a solution will keep very strong.
Now there is the most difficult phase of the work-to protect your newly created masterpiece from the encroachments of Pets or pampering children, because the cement mortar will dry completely only in 2-3 days.
As you can see, to build a beautiful garden path with your own hands is not difficult. Really have to work hard for the glory.
