How could we forget about the species and varieties of Mock Orange in the previous publication of Mock Orange: Planting and Care (Part 1). So let’s continue from where we left off!

Types and varieties

As a cultivated plant, about 20 species of Philadelphus are grown, but the most popular are Philadelphia pallidus, Philadelphia coronarius and Philadelphia x lemoinei, which gave rise to numerous varieties.

Among the varieties of Philadelphus pallidus is to provide a sort of ‘Virginal’ with a wide spreading crown up to a height of 2 m and a width up to 3 m.
