How could we forget about the species and varieties of Mock Orange in the previous publication of Mock Orange: Planting and Care (Part 1). So let’s continue from where we left off!
Types and varieties
As a cultivated plant, about 20 species of Philadelphus are grown, but the most popular are Philadelphia pallidus, Philadelphia coronarius and Philadelphia x lemoinei, which gave rise to numerous varieties.
Among the varieties of Philadelphus pallidus is to provide a sort of ‘Virginal’ with a wide spreading crown up to a height of 2 m and a width up to 3 m. It has oval-acuminate leaves are rich green color (length up to 7 cm) and snow-white double flowers with a diameter of 5 cm, collected in inflorescence 7-10 pieces. Looks very impressive variety ‘Manteau d’hermine’, characterized by a particularly long period of flowering-up to 50 days. The shrub does not grow above 0.8 m, has thin drooping branches with small green foliage. Flowers single or collected in groups of 2-3 pieces, have a snow-white hue and amazing strawberry flavor.

Double flowers reach a diameter of 4-5 cm, collected several pieces in a rounded brush and have a pronounced aroma.
Any of the varieties of garden Jasmine during the flowering period will become the center of attention and will give a lot of positive emotions, and the delicious aroma of its inflorescences will bring a sense of comfort and harmony to the surrounding space.
