On August 11, 2018, the international festival “Gardens and people”started in the open area in front of pavilion No. 75. The event is held for the second time, annually gathering more than 80,000 professionals and lovers of landscape design and gardening. This year the theme of the competition projects “Contrasts in the garden”. The festival will be open until August 27, so you still have a chance to see the best landscape works of designers. And there is really something to see.
This year more than 30 participants presented their gardens and art objects to the jury and spectators. The Grand Prix was awarded to the project “Facets of the garden”, which combined the classics of landscape architecture and the simplicity of natural communities.
The best in the category of “Large gardens” was recognized as “Modern garden of the Jurassic period.” He recreated and harmoniously combined two completely different worlds-an ancient forest and a birch grove. The focus of the exhibition was an unusual place to relax, reminiscent of the skeleton of a prehistoric lizard.
Also among the winners of the 2017 project “Cache”, which won a prize in the nomination”gardens of beginners”.
In the nomination “Small garden” won the project “Memory of the sky”.
The best “Landscape art” was recognized as “I was killed near Rzhev…”.

In addition, at the entrance to the exhibition of gardens visitors will meet an unusual photo project “Flowers as people”. Musical concerts and theatrical performances will create a pleasant atmosphere of a bright and unforgettable holiday. The 4th international festival of contemporary landscape art, nursery and horticulture “Gardens and people” will be open until August 27, 2018.
